EDO ELECTION | PDP’s Ize-Iyamu Tenders 988 INEC Voters Registers As Evidence
No less than 988 Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Voters Registers used in the 28, September 2016, governorship election in Edo state, were yesterday tendered by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its candidate, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu as additional evidence to the Edo Governorship Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Benin City.
The registers from 12 of the 18 local governments of the state were admitted as exhibits by the tribunal.
The registers which were tendered by counsel to the petitioners, Mr Roland Otaru (SAN) leading others legal practitioners were those used for polling units/voting centres in Akoko Edo, Egor, Igueben, Etsako West , Owan West, Etsako Central and Etsako East local governments.
The rest were for Ovia South-West, Ovia North-East , Owan East, Esan Central and Ikpoba okha local government council areas.
