Montini: Trump Sticks With Dangerous Fantasy of Illegal Voting
He has been sworn in as president of the United States – in other words, he’s got the job -- yet Donald Trump may be the most insecure man in the country.

That’s scary.
Or should be.
Rampant insecurity is the only explanation for Trump to continue making the completely unproven claim about “millions” of illegal voters in the presidential election.
There is no evidence.
It’s ridiculous.
Yet the president apparently told lawmakers that he would have beaten Hillary Clinton – who thrashed him by nearly three million votes – if it hadn’t been for these imaginary voters.
What’s worse, Trump continues to push this delusional premise while giving practically no credence and showing no investigative zeal to the well-established fact – not the alternative kind, the real kind – that the Russians staged a major cyberattack on our electoral system.
Why are these two things related and important?
Because American can’t defeat Russia on the virtual battlefield if it’s president isn’t grounded in reality.
