Fani-KayodeTo Ex-Niger Delta Militants- "I never Said Obasanjo Was An Ingrate"

Former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode, on Thursday dismissed claims by a former militant group, saying he called ex-President, Olusegun Obasanjo an ingrate.

A former militant group under the umbrella of National Coalition of Niger Delta Ex-Agitators, had accused Fani-Kayose of insulting the former President.

The group-led by one Israel Akpodoro alleged that Fani-Kayode called Obasanjo an ingrate for not supporting the presidential ambition of Goodluck Jonathan in 2015.

According to the ex-militants, Fani-Kayode’s underlying reason for his persistent attack on President Muhammadu Buhari was to secure an appointment from the President’s cabinet.

The group claimed that the former Minister used the same strategy to secure the media director’s office during Jonathan’s campaign in 2015.

Reacting to the allegations,FFK described the allegation as false and baseless.

In a statement by his media aide, Jude Ndukwe, Fani-Kayode said he has never and will never be part of Buhari’s government.

Ndukwe said, “Chief Fani-Kayode has NEVER said that Obasanjo is an ingrate. We do not respond or join issues with faceless groups.

“The former minister has said it countless times that he would rather die one million times than be part of Buhari’s government.”
