Lagos Police Commissioner Makes U-turn, Joins #IstandwithNigeria Protesters in Lagos To Provide Security [PHOTOS]
After his alleged threats to cancel Anti-Buhari’s protest planned by
popular musician, Tuface Idibia in the state, the Lagos Commissioner of
Police, CP, Fatai Owoseni was pictured with #IstandwithNigeria
protesters in Lagos on Monday.
Scores of armed policemen as at 8:30 am, took strategic positions at the National Stadium, Surulere and environs, following insistence by some activists to continue with today’s protest despite call off by Tuface Idibia.
Recall that Owoseni was reported to have vowed to stop the protest, saying the command wasn’t ready for that kind of demonstration and as such would not allow it to hold.
He had, however backed down on the threat to stop the nationwide protest.
He was spotted among the protesters in Lagos as they walked to the National Theatre.
