Man Remanded For Being in Possession of Human Head

An Ado-Ekiti Chief Magistrates’ Court has remanded a 21-year-old man, Tosin Oluwafemi, in prison for al­leged murder.



The Prosecutor, Insp. Ca­leb Leranmo, told the court that the accused committed the offence on February 14 at Ifaki-Ekiti.

He said that the accused was charged with conspir­acy, unlawful possession of human head and murder of a 12-year-old boy, Joshua Ojo. He said that the ac­cused went to pick the boy from his school at Ifaki community primary school in Ifaki-Ekiti, murdered him and cut off his head.

He said the offence contravened sections 320, 329A and 319 of the Crimi­nal Code Cap C16 Laws of Ekiti State, 2012. The plea of the accused was not taken.

The Chief Magistrate, Adesoji Adegboye, re­manded the accused in prison till the outcome of the advice from Director of Public Prosecution.

He adjourned the case till April 5 for mention.
