The Manchester United manager returned to Stamford Bridge on Monday evening for just the second time since he was sacked in December 2015.

The 54-year-old appeared pumped up for Manchester United's FA Cup quarter-final tie, regularly encouraging and admonishing his players in equal measure.

However when the Portuguese responded to a foul on Eden Hazard by demanding that the referee book the Belgian for diving, sections of the Stamford Bridge crowd targeted the former Special One with abusive chants.

A section of supporters behind the Manchester United dugout sung: "F*** off Mourinho!" and "Judas!"

Jose Mourinho responded by holding up three fingers to signifiy the three Premier League titles he won in his two spells at Chelsea, before pointing to the Stamford Bridge pitch.

After spells at Inter Milan and Real Madrid the Portuguese returned to Chelsea in 2014, winning his third Premier League title in his second season at the club.

Despite twice being sacked by Roman Abramovich, Mourinho maintained he was not out for revenge against his former club.

Mourinho clashed with his Stamford Bridge replacement, Antonio Conte, in a fiery first half in London.
