JAMB Postpones UTME Mock Exam Indefinitely
The
Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced
indefinite postponement of its mock examination hitherto scheduled to
hold on Saturday.
JAMB said the rescheduled presidential
and National Assembly elections was the main reason for the sudden shift
in date, which was conceived to get candidates acquainted with the
Computer Based Test (CBT) examination.
JAMB spokesman, Dr. Fabian Benjamin,
confirmed the development, and swiftly dispelled rumours of changes in
the date of other programmes that would culminate in the 2019 Unified
Tertiary Matriculation Exam (UTME).
He said: “I can confirm that we have
shifted the date for the mock exam which was to hold this Saturday.
The
decision was necessitated by the election that was rescheduled to that
date. We earlier chose Saturday, without the knowledge that election
would be shifted to that day.
“However, the management will meet and
have extensive discussion and arrive at a new date which will be
communicated to candidates.”
He said JAMB regretted the inconveniences and urged candidates to watch out for new date for the mock examination.
