Asake Makes History At 2023 Headies Awards With His Double Win (Video)

 

It was a historic night for fast-rising singer and wave-of-the-moment, Asake as he made history at the just concluded Headies Awards.

Benco news reported that the 16th edition of the biggest music award ceremony was held on Sunday night at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Center in Atlanta.

 

The award which is to celebrate Afrobeats and African culture had in attendance several African A-list artists from across Africa.

The show which was tagged, ‘Celebrating African Renaissance’, was a historic night for Asake, who made history and broke records at the award show.

 

Asake becomes the first Artist to win The Next Rated and Album of the Year on the same night.

 

To add to it, the ‘Lonely At The Top’ singer, joins Simi, Asa, and Kizz Daniel who have won the Headies Album of the Year with their debut albums.
