Shettima To Speak At Dialogue On Tinubu’s Achievements Today
Vice-President Kashim Shettima will deliver a speech on Friday at a dialogue on the achievements of President Bola Tinubu within his first year in office.
Speaking with journalists on Thursday, Ibrahim Hadejia, deputy chief of staff to the president (office of the vice-president), said the event is part of the efforts to leverage international cooperation in delivering the promise of renewed hope.
Hadejia said the vice-president will deliver a keynote address titled ‘Delivering the renewed hope agenda through enhanced international cooperation: Imperatives, opportunities and challenges’.
He said the dialogue was initiated to provide the foundation for the collaborative efforts that would propel Nigeria towards a future of enriched international cooperation.
“The dialogue is not just a ceremonial gathering, it is a strategic confluence of leaders and thinkers in government, the international development community, and civil society, geared towards deliberating on how to advance the gains made in the first year of the renewed hope agenda,” NAN quoted Hadejia as saying.
“We have embarked on this path of economic revitalisation, social empowerment, and infrastructural development while navigating the complexities of a rapidly evolving global space.
“This introspective analysis will enable us to celebrate our successes, learn from our challenges, and refine our strategies moving forward.”
On his part, Dapo Oyewole, the senior special assistant to the president on international cooperation, said the discussion would focus on ways to strengthen international alliances for the success of the administration’s goals.
He listed the objectives of the high-level dialogue to include “articulating and deliberate on the policy priorities, delivery mechanisms, successes, and challenges of the renewed hope agenda in the past year”.
